Candy Stripe Tutorial

Here is the tutorial on how to make the candy stripe! This bracelet was the first one I learned to make and I hope it will be an inspiration to you. The great thing about this bracelet is that you can have as many strings as you want and as many color combinations. Make sure for this tutorial that you tie two of each knot!

Supplies
Five pieces of embroidery floss. The colors I will use are blue, pink, green, orange, and yellow.

Step 1
Tie an overhand knot at the top and set up your strings in the order that are listed above (b,p,g,o,y)

Step 2
Take your blue string and make forward knots over the pink, green, orange and yellow strings. Your order should now be p,g,o,y,b

Step 3
Take your pink string and make forward knots over the green, orange, yellow and blue strings. Your order should now be g,o,y,b,p

Step 4
Take your green string and make forward knots over the orange, yellow, blue and pink strings. Your order should now be o,y,b,p,g

Step 5
Take your orange string and make forward knots over the yellow, blue, pink and green strings. Your order should now be y,b,p,g,o

Step 6
Take your yellow string and make forward knots over the blue, pink, green and orange stings. Your order should now be back in its original order. b,p,g,o,y

Step 7
Repeat steps 2-6 until your bracelet is the desired legnth.

Step 8
Tie a overhand knot at the end and wear your bracelet!

Note- if the lines go diagonal, don't worry,it is supposed to do that
